The Position

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Prepare and draft the quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements. AIF, MD&A and some other management and financial materials for regulatory purpose.

• Manage and drive the completion of the month end, quarter end, and year end procedures.

• Prepare, implement and maintain IFRS standards and corporate accounting policies

• Develop and maintain the integrity of the financial reporting process and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting

• Prepare and assist with complex Financial Reporting including: acquisition accounting, managing accounting valuation models, as well as RSU, stock options, share capital transactions

• Prepare monthly, quarter and year end working papers

• Assess and document the impact and required disclosures for major transactions and complex accounting issues

• Assist in developing, documenting, and implementing effective controls and processes to ensure the integrity of financial information

• Liaise with external tax advisors to maintain an understanding of the tax exposure and risk areas impacting our business

• Ensure tax reporting and other statutory compliance by working with tax advisors in the preparation and completion of tax returns in all areas of tax

• Handle various adhoc project works assigned by CFO

We're looking for someone who:

• Has 8+ years as a CPA or other recognized Professional Accounting Designation

• Has thorough knowledge of IFRS and public company reporting requirements

• Is a Consolidation expert and M/A transactions

• Has experience with System implementation

• Has strong internal financial reporting control knowledge & experience with Fintech

• Has 4-5 years experience with financial reporting for public companies

• Is interested in being part of a growing team

• Has strong independent research abilities and analytical skills

• Is capable of thinking through and proposing solutions to problems
